Who pays for outplacement services?
The employer usually pays, and the service is offered as part of the severance or separation package. Employees don’t pay anything and book their sessions directly with us.
When should we offer outplacement?
Ideally, it’s included in the separation packet on notification day, so employees can start right away. For larger layoffs covered by federal and California WARN notice rules, planning outplacement during the notice period helps employees move on faster.
Can we offer outplacement to only some employees?
